LETTING IT ALL GO

Wave Goodbye to August! It has been a wild ride so far, hasn't it? August featured two eclipses — one happening today, in fact — and that tends to speed things up a bit. Eclipses always get your engine revving and turns the heat up. For some, this can be quite exciting, dramatic and intense; for others this may simply be a time where they are running as fast as they can…trying to keep up, ever mindful that one false step may topple them.

But for all of us, this period of time offers a quickening of psychic and spiritual energies. We are all being given an opportunity now to upgrade our lives for the future. This is not optional. There is no going back now because whatever is behind you is a part of your past and retreat is no longer an option. Between the August eclipses, the t-square to Uranus, plus several complications from Mars and Saturn and, oh yeah, did I mention the trine between Uranus and Pluto? The sky is busy. SO, so busy. And we are being challenged to keep up.

The lunar eclipse taking place today (on or about August 28th, depending on your time zone) is in the signs of Pisces/Virgo. Otherwise, called the full moon. Pisces is the sign of forgiveness and release. Swimming in Piscean waters opens us up to spiritual truth and universal knowledge. Which makes this an excellent season for purging old habit patterns that have held you back; and for releasing old grudges or resentments. “Letting go” can actually heal you now—body and soul. And once you have released what no longer serves you (and this can be a job, a relationship, or an addiction), what Picses can bring you is peace. Not just the absence of stress, but true inner peace.

I suspect that many of us spent July, and perhaps early August being frustrated by our lack of forward momentum. Depending on how you measure progress, you may have felt a bit stuck. But, thanks to Uranus, all our illusions have been shattered by now. Uranus wakes us up to reality and blasts us out of our complacency. This is a good thing because we are finally dealing with the truth of whatever our situation is. You can't solve problems you can't see. And anything not contributing to your future growth is being stripped away, ready or not. “The truth shall set you free!”

So, what’s the best way to deal with the energies of late August and early September? Start with emotional honesty. Honor your feelings and intuitive responces. Notice what triggers you, because your sudden outbursts may in fact bring clarity. There is so much going on in the skies of Aug/Sept that I could literally blather on and on. But I think it would be more helpful to summarize it into some “DOs” and “DON’Ts”.

DOs

  • Express your true feelings

  • Release old resentments

  • Let go of grudges

  • Dissolve/resolve anger issues

  • Process your past

  • Forgive yourself and others

  • Find closure

  • Put your baggage down (it's too heavy!)

  • Purge, organize or downsize (old life vs new life)

  • Apply new solutions to old problems. Eureka!

  • Keep a dream journal

DON’Ts

  • Keep your feelings bottled up

  • Play the victim or martyr

  • Wallow

  • Keep score (ps: no one wins)

  • Shout people down

  • Gaslight or ghost people

  • Lie (you’ll be found out because eclipses shine a light into your deepest, darkest secrets)

  • Beat a dead horse

  • Apply the same old (useless) solutions to the same old problems

  • Live on “auto-pilot”

Remember that once you know who you are, you'll know where you're going. And your new life/new path will suddenly open up before you. Well, that's it from me.
